Big Daddy’s Race for Time hosted their second Pop the Cork Wine Tasting event May 12, 2012. A special thanks to our presenting sponsor UK Health Care Markey Cancer Center. Participants had the opportunity to taste wines from all all over the country, take part in the raffles and silent auction. A good time was had by all!

2011 Shine a Light

More than 75 were in attendance Monday evening (11/29/11) at Commonwealth Cancer Center to honor those who have battled lung cancer, as well as bring attention to much-needed research surrounding the disease.

The “Shine a Light on Lung Cancer” Vigil was held in conjunction with a national campaign for Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and was organized by Big Daddy’s Race for Time Foundation, along with Commonwealth Cancer Center and the National Lung Cancer Alliance.

Lung cancer is by far the most common cause of cancer death in the US each year, responsible for more deaths than breast cancer, colon cancer, and prostate cancer combined. Recognizing these statistics, awareness and research must be a priority. Help us spread this important news.
